TikTok calls out San Antonio loan officer for allegedly violating the U.S. Capitol

Screenshots of a San Antonio man’s Facebook and work pages are circulating online after a popular TikTok account linked him to his presence at the United States Capitol on Wednesday.

Matthew Mazzocco’s Facebook account appears to be deleted or disabled from the site. A LinkedIn account also appears to be cleaned up. Screenshots from the Facebook page list the man as a native of San Antonio and a resident working in the mortgage business.

A selfie posted to the account shows the federal building in the background.

“The Capitol (sic) is ours”, we can read in the caption.

The TikTok posted by @beccaboostanaccount generated almost 30,000 reactions.

Twitter also identified Mazzocco in another video recorded inside the Capitol and shared on TikTok. A man wearing the same outfit in Mazzocco’s selfie asking others not to break or vandalize anything as the group plans to go to the Senate.

“Don’t break or vandalize anything,” the man said in the video. “We’re probably all going to be in trouble for what we’re doing at some point.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation accepts public assistance in identifying those involved in the riots. The FBI and its San Antonio division have been tagged in posts on Mazzocco. The San Antonio office could not be reached or commented on.

CMG Financial, the company listed as Mazzocco’s employer on its now-deleted Facebook, addressed the controversy in a response to a comment left on an article.

“This person is no longer employed by CMG Financial,” the commentary reads. “Our HR team has requested that he remove CMG Financial from his profiles because he does not work here.”

In an emailed statement to MySA.com, CMG’s head office said Mazzocco has not been employed by the company since the start of last year. The group posted the former employee’s work history on the National Multistate Licensing System consumer access page. The site allows the public to search for information on persons authorized and registered by the NMLS.

Mazzocco’s file shows Synergy One Lending, Inc. as its current employer. He is listed as a loan officer on his self-reported work history. The San Antonio office could not be reached for comment. Mazzocco’s profile is no longer on the company website and the NMLS record shows that he does not represent anyone.

Mazzocco could also not be reached for comment.
