CHARLESTON, SC – Sophomore Indianna Spink will play her first game of the fall season at LTP Mount Pleasant in Charleston, SC for the ITA All-American Championships starting Monday.
Ranked No.26 in the ITA preseason standings, Spink is the No.2 seed on the qualifying table and will face Pepperdine’s Shiori Fukuda at 9.45am CT in the round of 16. The singles qualifying round will be played on October 4. -5 and Spink will need three wins to qualify for the main draw.
Spink, the 2021 SEC freshman, finished his rookie season with a 15-9 overall record and secured a berth at the NCAA Championships. Spink played exclusively in the number one and number two spots for the Razorbacks, totaling five ranked wins and never losing to an unranked opponent dating back to the fall season.
Since 1983, the ITA Women’s All-American Championships have featured the nation’s top NCAA Division I players and pioneered women’s college tennis. The event created milestones that over the years have directly influenced the popularity of women’s college tennis.
