Sooryavanshi Box Office Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar’s film could touch Rs 25-30 crore

Akshay Kumar’s big-ticket release Sooryavanshi hit theaters on November 5. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film set a new overseas record as it was released on 1,300 screens in 66 countries. In India, the actor has been released on more than 4,000 screens. Now it looks like Sooryavanshi could become Akshay’s biggest box office opening by gaining 25-30 crore on Day 1.


Rohit Shetty delivered exactly the dhamaka he promised with Sooryavanshi. It’s no surprise that the film drew large crowds. Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh. According to Box Office India, Sooryavanshi could become Akshay’s biggest opening with an outstanding Day 1 collection. Currently, the film appears to be hitting 25 crore, and the number could reach 30 crore by the end of the day.

On November 4, a day before Sooryavanshi’s big Diwali outing, Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share a photo from the film and explained what makes the action film special. “I’ve done a lot of action in my career hanging from helicopters, jumping through buildings, crazy bike chases. #Sooryavanshi is special to me in more than one way, it’s my ode to this old-fashioned action but on a larger scale, theatrical release tomorrow (sic), ”he wrote.
