While cinemas are set to reopen from October 22 in the state of Maharashtra, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi will be Bollywood’s first big release, which is set to hit screens over Diwali weekend. To get a feel for the box office prediction of this big deal, we had a conversation with trade expert, Akshaye Rathi and he said, “I have a feeling Sooryavanshi can really surprise and deliver a kind numbers that no one can imagine or anticipate at the moment. ”
When asked if the 50% occupancy rate in Maharashtra would affect the box office numbers, he replied, “I guess it’s only a matter of time before capacity runs out. restored to 70 or 75%, then to 100%.
